4012.11, Maintenance Lumber and Related Materials

Background
The Board of Education of Montgomery County, through the Division of Procurement, is issuing this Invitation for Bid (IFB) for the procurement of maintenance lumber and related materials.
The goal is to furnish and deliver these materials to various Montgomery County Public Schools (MCPS) and/or offices located within Montgomery County, Maryland.
This contract supports the maintenance needs of the school facilities.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for providing the following items in specified quantities:
1. 200 each of Wolmanized 4" x 4" x 8' pressure-treated lumber, #1 grade accepted.
2. 300 each of Wolmanized 6" x 6" x 8' timbers, #2 grade or better, straight and true for a useful life of 20 years.
3. 200 each of Wolmanized 2" x 4" x 8' pressure-treated lumber, #1 grade accepted.
4. Additional items include various sizes and grades of lumber (including SPF), plywood, caulking, adhesives, insulation, and other related materials as detailed in the specifications.
5. All products must meet specified standards including American Wood Preservers Association standards and federal regulations.

Period of Performance
The contract term is from April 11, 2025 through April 10, 2026.

Place of Performance
Deliveries are to be made to various locations within Montgomery County, Maryland as specified on individual purchase orders.
