Background
The Maryland Department of General Services is seeking a contractor to provide total maintenance, inspections, testing, repairs, and replacements of the fire alarm, sprinkler system, and all fire extinguishers at the Louis L. Goldstein District Court/Multi Service Center in Prince Frederick, MD. The contract will be for a period of three years, from July 1, 2024, to June 30, 2027.
Work Details
The contractor is required to furnish all labor, materials, supplies, tools, and insurance necessary to provide the specified services. This includes rendering four inspections per year on the fire alarm and sprinkler systems and inspecting, servicing, recharging, and certifying the fire extinguishers as required by code.
The equipment included in this contract consists of various fire alarm and sprinkler system components such as fire alarm control panels, initiating devices, notification devices, main fire pump, jockey pump controller, butterfly control valves, tamper switches, flow switches, gate valve, drain test valves, check valves, and approximately 29 fire extinguishers. The contractor shall assume total maintenance, repair or replacement of this equipment as directed by the specifications and/or in compliance with the manufacturer's recommendations.
Period of Performance
The contract will be performed over a period of three years from July 1st, 2024 to June 30th, 2027.
