Background
The Board of Education of Frederick County, Maryland, is issuing this solicitation to qualify playground contractors for the design, supply, and installation of playground equipment. The goal is to ensure that qualified vendors can participate in future projects related to new or renovated school construction. Additionally, the contract includes a separate unit price contract for bulk engineered wood fiber (EWF) mulch for use by the FCPS grounds crew.

Work Details
The successful contractors will be responsible for the following:
1. Design, supply, and installation of playground equipment during the life of the contract.
2. Notification in writing when projects become available for bidding.
3. Inclusion of qualified vendors' names in specifications for school construction projects.
4. A separate unit price contract will be awarded to one vendor specifically for bulk engineered wood fiber (EWF) mulch, which can be bid on independently without a technical proposal.

Period of Performance
The contract will commence upon award and will continue throughout its duration as projects become available.

Place of Performance
The services will be performed within Frederick County, Maryland, specifically at various school sites as designated by FCPS.

Bidder Requirements
Vendors must register with FCPS prior to contract award and are encouraged to be certified Minority Business Enterprises (MBEs). All interested bidders must submit their proposals electronically through OpenGov Procurement; no mail submissions will be accepted.
