Background
The Baltimore County Department of Public Works and Transportation is issuing this contract for the expansion of the Jacksonville Senior Center located at 3605 Sweet Air Road, Phoenix, Maryland.
The project aims to enhance community services and facilities available at the center, aligning with the county's mission to improve public infrastructure and community engagement.

Work Details
The contract includes construction services for the expansion of the Jacksonville Senior Center. Key components of the work include:
- Installation of an Intrusion Detection System as detailed in new section 28 31 00.
- Construction of various structural elements as per revised drawings including but not limited to:
- Drawing numbers 2025-0237, 0252, 0377, 0380, 0385, 0386, 0387, 0397, 0407 & 0408.
- Compliance with specifications regarding materials such as structural glued-laminated timber and other construction materials as specified in sections referenced in the addendum.
- Adherence to safety protocols and regulations during construction.
- Submission of daily activity reports and maintenance of as-built documents.

Period of Performance
The period of performance for this contract is set for approximately 549 calendar days from the Notice to Proceed (NTP), with a target start date in December 2025 and completion expected by June 2027.

The work will be performed at the Jacksonville Senior Center located at 3605 Sweet Air Road, Phoenix, Maryland.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must comply with a minimum participation goal of 30% for Minority/Women-Owned Business Enterprises (MWBE).
All contractors must adhere to Baltimore County's prevailing wage laws and local hiring requirements. Additionally, contractors are required to submit MBE documentation at the time of bid submission.
