Winchester Crane Apts. Window Project

Background
The Waltham Housing Authority is inviting sealed bids for the Window Replacement project at the Winchester/Crane Apartments, a state-aided development in Waltham, Massachusetts. The project aims to enhance living conditions by replacing windows and addressing associated repairs, including asbestos abatement. The estimated cost of the project is $1,981,248.00.

Work Details

General bidders must be certified by the Division of Capital Asset Management and Maintenance (DCAMM) in the category of Doors and Windows. They must submit a current DCAMM Certificate of Eligibility along with a signed DCAMM Prime/General Contractor Update Statement. Filed sub-bidders must also be DCAMM certified for their respective trades.

Period of Performance
The contract will be performed from the date of award until completion. General bids are due by November 13, 2025, and filed sub-bids are due by October 30, 2025.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must submit a bid deposit of not less than five percent (5%) of the greatest possible bid amount. General bidders are required to contract with minority and women business enterprises certified by the Supplier Diversity Office (SDO), with a combined participation benchmark of no less than 13% of the final contract price. Workforce participation benchmarks are set at 6.9% for women and 15.3% for minorities.
