The City of Salem, on behalf of the MassHire North Shore Workforce Board, is seeking proposals for comprehensive website hosting and digital marketing services. The MassHire North Shore Workforce Board is a public workforce development organization serving the North Shore region of Massachusetts. The goal of this contract is to enhance the digital presence of the Workforce Board, facilitating communication of workforce development resources, career opportunities, and programming to the public, job seekers, and employer partners. The budget for this contract over three years is $100,000.
Work Details
The selected vendor will provide the following services:
1. Website Hosting Services:
- Hosting with uncapped bandwidth for two websites.
- Security updates performed at least twice monthly.
- Maintenance of multiple domain registrations (up to 6) with annual renewals.
- SSL Certificate provisioning and maintenance for all domains.
- Plugin licensing and ongoing maintenance.
- Monthly coordination with MassHire staff via virtual meetings to assess content and ensure compliance with requirements.
2. Web Design & Development:
- Minimum of 20 hours per month for technical assistance and updates.
- Graphic design services for new content related to workforce initiatives.
- SEO and GEO strategies as applicable.
- Execution of one paid digital advertising campaign per month as requested.
3. Marketing & Content Services:
- Weekly management of social media pages (Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram).
- Original content writing for website and social media (2-4 posts/month).
- Email marketing services through Constant Contact (4-6 emails/year).
4. Photography & Video:
- Coverage for 5-10 hours of events per month with editing for use on digital platforms.
Period of Performance
The contract will commence upon issuance of the Notice to Proceed and will last for three years, with an option to renew for up to two additional years in one-year increments.
Place of Performance
Services will be performed primarily in Salem, MA, with virtual coordination meetings.
