Valve Replacement @ Lamplighters Way pump station

Background
The Town of Saugus, Massachusetts is issuing a contract for the construction of the Lamplighters Way Force Main Repair and Pump Station Gate Valve Replacement Project. This project aims to address the failure of a force main pipe section that previously ran through a culvert, necessitating emergency repairs in June 2022. The goal is to replace the existing segment of force main with new piping and flow paths, ensuring reliable wastewater management in the area.

Work Details
The scope of work includes:
1. Replacing the segment of force main that currently runs through the culvert located at Lamplighters Way with new pipe and flow path.
2. Replacing an overflow drain gate valve located at the Lamplighters Way Pump Station.
3. Installation of approximately 150 linear feet of new pipe, which will cut across Lamplighters Way at an approximately 45-degree angle toward the downstream end of the culvert crossing.
4. Approximately 50 linear feet of this new pipe will be bolted onto the downstream face of the existing headwall above the culvert opening.

Period of Performance
The contract is expected to commence on or before a date specified in a written 'Notice to Proceed' from the OWNER. It must be fully completed within the time limit stated in Section 00 41 13, FORM OF GENERAL BID.

The work will be performed at Lamplighters Way, Saugus, Massachusetts.
