Background
The Auburn Water District Board of Water Commissioners is seeking qualified General Contractors and Subcontractors for the construction of water treatment facilities.

The project aims to address arsenic and PFAS removal from water sourced from South Street Wells, enhancing the quality of drinking water in Auburn, Massachusetts. This initiative is part of the agency's mission to ensure safe and clean water for its community.

Work Details
The work consists of constructing a 400 gallon per minute arsenic and PFAS removal water treatment facility located at 9A Pine Valley Drive, Auburn, MA.

The primary treatment process will utilize pressure filtration units equipped with GreensandPlus media and Granular Activated Carbon media. The Filed Sub-Bid categories include:
- Masonry
- Roofing and Flashing
- Miscellaneous Metals
- Painting
- Plumbing
- Fire Protection
- Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning
- Electrical.

Period of Performance
The estimated total construction cost for this project is $12,000,000. The RFQ responses must be received by January 17, 2025, indicating that the performance period will commence after this date upon selection of contractors.
