SWSC Bid No. 24-70 West Parish Filters Chlorinator Equipment Replacement Project

Background
The Springfield Water and Sewer Commission is seeking bids for the West Parish Filters Chlorinator Equipment Replacement Project. The project involves disconnecting and demolishing four existing chlorinator units and existing control wiring and conduit, as well as installing three new chlorinator units, chlorine gas piping, FRP Unistrut supports, wiring, and conduit for new monitoring and control signals. The estimated project cost is $145,000.00.
Bidders are encouraged to attend an optional pre-bid meeting on May 30, 2024.

Work Details
The work includes disconnecting and demolishing four existing chlorinator units and existing control wiring and conduit. Additionally, the contractor will need to furnish and install three new chlorinator units including chloromatic valve, rotameter, vacuum switch panel, 1-inch sch. 80 PVC chlorine gas piping and FRP Unistrut supports.
They will also provide wiring and conduit for new monitoring and control signals, including all new signal wires to existing instruments and switches.

Period of Performance
The contract bids are due by 2:00 PM EST on June 12, 2024. The project's estimated cost is not to exceed $145,000.00.
An optional pre-bid meeting is scheduled for May 30, 2024.

The project will be performed at West Parish Filters in Springfield, Massachusetts.
