SRTA IFB 25-02: Storefront and Door Replacements at Multiple Sites

Background
The Southeastern Regional Transit Authority (SRTA) is responsible for public transit services in ten communities within the Southeastern Massachusetts region, funded by Federal, State, and local subsidies, as well as fare box revenue.

Established under Massachusetts General Laws, Chapter 161B, SRTA is a political subdivision of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and must comply with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). The contract is subject to guidelines from the Federal Transit Administration (FTA) and financial assistance contracts with the Massachusetts Department of Transportation (MassDOT).

Work Details
The contract involves the replacement of multiple storefront entrances and doors at four buildings across three sites located in New Bedford and Fall River.

Specific tasks include replacing the main entrance at the New Bedford Bus Terminal, which includes curtain walls, power-assisted doors, and air curtains. The secondary entrance at the Terminal will be considered as an alternate bid option.

Period of Performance
The successful bidder should be prepared to begin work immediately upon receiving the Notice to Proceed and contract execution following the bid opening on March 19, 2025.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed at multiple sites in the City of New Bedford and City of Fall River.
