SDE1902 - Request for Qualifications for Trade Contractors Middleton Jail, Middleton, MA

Background
The Commonwealth of Massachusetts, through its Division of Capital Asset Management and Maintenance (DCAMM), is seeking qualified and experienced Trade Contractors for the construction of a 2-story medical mental health facility to serve the Middleton Jail and House of Correction.

This project is part of the SDE – Middleton Jail and HOC – Medical & Kitchen Building/ISB Replacement (Phase 2) initiative, governed by MGL Chapter 149A, which outlines a two-phase procurement process.

Work Details
The RFQ seeks Trade Contractor Statement of Qualifications for fourteen (14) categories of work with the following budget allocations:

- Masonry: $2,487,677
- Miscellaneous & Ornamental Iron: $619,645
- Waterproofing, Dampproofing & Caulking: $341,302
- Roofing & Flashing: $691,428
- Metal Windows: $386,350
- Glass & Glazing: $130,825
- Tile: $28,035
- Resilient Floors: $305,322
- Painting: $187,122
- Elevators: $256,000
- Fire Protection Sprinkler System: $363,823
- Plumbing: $1,663,977
- HVAC: $2,560,622
- Electrical: $3,400,000.

This is a Construction Management at Risk project.

Period of Performance
The contract will be performed from the date of award until project completion as determined by the construction schedule. The submission deadline for qualifications is set for June 8, 2026.

Place of Performance
Middleton Jail and House of Correction located in Middleton, Massachusetts.

Bidder Requirements
Interested firms must submit a Qualification Statement by the specified deadline and be prequalified to bid on the project. DCAMM Certification applies to this process. All firms must be qualified for this project.
