Roadway Paving

Background
The Town of West Newbury, MA, through its Department of Public Works, is issuing an Invitation for Bids for a contract designated as #2026-DPW-008. The purpose of this contract is to facilitate the installation of hot mix asphalt roadway paving and asphalt berm on town roadways or properties as directed by the Town.

The estimated value of this contract is $700,000 for the first year, with the potential for two additional 12-month extensions if funds become available.

Work Details
The work under this contract consists of the installation by overlay of hot mix asphalt roadway paving and asphalt berm on town roadways or property as directed by the Town.

All labor and materials necessary for the completion of this work must be provided by the contractor.

Period of Performance
The work associated with this contract must be completed prior to December 30, 2025. If additional funding becomes available, there may be options for two additional 12-month extensions.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed on town roadways or properties located within West Newbury, MA.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must be pre-qualified by the Massachusetts Department of Transportation. Each bid must include a bid security consisting of a Bid Bond, Cash, Treasurer’s Check, Cashier’s Check, or Certified Check issued by a responsible bank or trust company in the amount of 5% of the bid price.

All bids are subject to applicable public bidding laws of Massachusetts.
