RFR 235537 bulk liquid oxygen, newton st Lemuel Shattuck Hospital

Background
The Commonwealth of Massachusetts, through the Department of Public Health (DPH), is issuing a Request for Response (RFR) for the Lemuel Shattuck Hospital located at 88 East Newton Street, Boston MA.
The hospital is a fully accredited teaching facility that provides acute, subacute, and ambulatory care to economically and socially disadvantaged patients.
The goal of this contract is to establish a multi-year agreement for the provision of bulk liquid oxygen, including its design, installation, service, and maintenance as part of the hospital's relocation from 170 Morton Street, Jamaica Plain MA to its new site.

Work Details
The selected vendor will be responsible for:
1. Design and installation of vendor-owned bulk liquid oxygen storage tanks at the hospital's new location.
2. Maintenance of storage tank(s) and related equipment that meet or exceed all regulatory requirements.
3. Providing a capacity to accommodate approximately one month’s usage (average 6,820 SCF per month).
4. Installation must include all necessary connections for safe and remote filling of the storage tanks.
5. The vendor will coordinate with DCAMM’s agents during the design and installation process.
6. All costs related to design, installation, equipment maintenance, and delivery must be included in the proposed price per standard cubic foot (SCF) rate.
7. The tanks will remain the property of the vendor but must comply with safety requirements and be installed professionally according to applicable codes.

Period of Performance
The anticipated initial duration of the contract is 10 years with options to renew for an additional 5 one-year terms.
The final end date of this contract is June 30, 2039.

The contract will be performed at Lemuel Shattuck Hospital located at 88 East Newton Street, Boston MA.
