Description

Fire Sprinkler services at various City buildings. The RFQ documents can be downloaded from the City's website: www.brockton.ma.us. Go to the Postings Tab, then click on See ALL Procurement Postings.
Background
The City of Brockton's Building Department is seeking an experienced contractor to provide fire sprinkler repair services for various city buildings as part of the FY2026 maintenance contract. The goal is to ensure the safety and functionality of fire sprinkler systems throughout the city.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for maintenance and repairs of fire sprinkler systems, including sprinkler piping, sprinkler heads, Ansul systems, and inspections. The work will be performed on an on-call basis as needed throughout the year.

Hourly rates for services are required for both regular hours (Monday-Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.) and for nights, weekends, and holidays. The contractor must supply all materials needed for repairs and will charge a 10% overhead on material costs.

Response times are critical; the contractor must respond within 60 minutes for non-emergency calls and within 30 minutes for emergency calls.

Period of Performance
The contract period will commence on September 1, 2025, and conclude on June 30, 2026.

Place of Performance
Services will be performed at various City of Brockton buildings.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must have at least five years of experience in similar projects and provide references. They must also have a minimum of five licensed technicians on staff.

The successful vendor must provide a Certificate of Insurance naming both the City of Brockton and the vendor as co-insured/additional insured. A prevailing wage certification is required, along with proof of OSHA training completion for all employees involved in the work.
