RFQ 259001 Bourne Armory Parking Lot Repair (MA Army National Guard)

Background
The Commonwealth of Massachusetts, through the Executive Office of Public Safety & Security and the Military Division, is seeking a contractor to perform repairs on the parking lot at Bourne Armory located at 10 Armory Rd, Bourne, MA 02532.

The project aims to address the deteriorating condition of the parking lot, which has not been resurfaced for many years and poses safety hazards due to extensive cracking and potholes.

Work Details
The scope of work includes:
- Removal of approximately 57,930 square feet of existing asphalt pavement.
- Repaving the entire area with a total thickness of 5 inches (3-1/2 inch binder course and 1-1/2 inch wear course).
- Fine grading and compaction of the new base material to achieve proper drainage.
- Protection of existing sewer/drainage structures during work.
- Installation of line striping after pavement curing as an alternate option.

All work must conform to the 2024 Massachusetts Department of Transportation (MassDOT) specifications.

Period of Performance
The contractor is expected to reach substantial completion by August 3, 2025, with final completion by August 25, 2025.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed at Bourne Armory located at 10 Armory Rd, Bourne, MA 02532.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must provide proof of OSHA 10-hour safety training for all employees working on the project.

A payment bond in the amount of 50% of the project cost is required for projects exceeding $25K. Additionally, a performance bond in the amount of 100% is required for bids over $150K. Bidders must also comply with prevailing wage laws and submit certified payrolls.
