RFP - Turn-Key Services for Installation of Photovaltaic

Background
The Cambridge Housing Authority (CHA) is seeking proposals for the turn-key installation of photovoltaic (PV) systems at various CHA-managed sites on behalf of CHA Solar LLC. This initiative is in accordance with Massachusetts General Laws Chapter 30B, Section 6, and aims to enhance solar energy utilization within the community.

Work Details
The selected Respondent will provide comprehensive turn-key services that include: full design, purchase, construction assembly, ongoing maintenance, and optional billing services for the installation of PV systems and associated electrical infrastructure.

The specific locations for these installations are Jefferson Park Apartments, Garfield Place, Putnam Gardens, Newtowne Court, Woodrow Wilson Court, and Temple Place.

Period of Performance
The RFP will be available starting July 3, 2025, with proposals due by July 18, 2025.

Place of Performance
The contract work will be performed at various sites managed by the Cambridge Housing Authority including Jefferson Park Apartments, Garfield Place, Putnam Gardens, Newtowne Court, Woodrow Wilson Court, and Temple Place in Cambridge, MA.

Bidder Requirements
Respondents must comply with Federal Davis-Bacon Prevailing wage rates as mandated by the Secretary of Labor and adhere to Cambridge’s Living Wage Ordinance. A 100% payment bond and a 100% performance bond will be required for the awarded contract.
