RFP 25-05 Website and CMS

Background
Cape Cod Community College (CCCC), an agency of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, is seeking proposals for the redesign of its website and migration to a new open-source content management system (CMS) hosted in the cloud. Founded in 1961, CCCC provides educational programs and services to residents of Cape Cod and surrounding areas, playing a vital role in community-building and cultural events.

Work Details
The project involves planning, executing, and delivering a new public-facing website that serves as the College’s primary marketing tool. Key objectives include:

- Designing a user-centered, content-focused site that meets the needs of diverse audiences including prospective students, current students, faculty, staff, parents, alumni, and potential donors.
- Implementing a responsive web design that ensures an optimized experience across all devices.
- Utilizing an open-source CMS with a block-based templating engine for easy content management by various users.
- Ensuring compliance with web accessibility standards (WCAG AA) and security measures against cyber threats.
- Integrating with existing digital academic systems and payment processing vendors.
- Providing cloud hosting services along with managed services for regular maintenance.

The selected vendor will conduct usability testing and provide training for CCCC staff on the new CMS.

Period of Performance
The project timeline includes research and discovery from February 2025 to June 2025, UX design and development from March 2025 to July 2025, training and implementation from August 2025 to September 2025, with a targeted go-live date in the week of October 31, 2025.

Place of Performance
The contract work will be performed at Cape Cod Community College located at 2240 Iyannough Road, West Barnstable, MA 02668.
