RFP # 2135-01 A/E Services Comprehensive Modernization at Ausonia Apartments

Background
The Boston Housing Authority (BHA) is seeking services of a qualified architectural/engineering (A/E) consultant firm to provide design and construction administration services for the comprehensive modernization of Ausonia Apartments, located in the North End section of Boston, Massachusetts. The project is subject to approval by HUD and to securing private financing for construction. The project is subject to cancellation should either HUD approval or financing approval not be received by the BHA.

Work Details
The comprehensive modernization project at Ausonia Apartments involves design and construction administration services. The estimated project construction cost is $40,000,000.00, excluding a 10% construction contingency. The cost of the A/E and construction contracts will be funded by loans secured from private lenders following the conversion of the development from an ACC funding to a Section 8 (PVB) funding platform. Additional public and private funding sources may supplement the project costs.

Period of Performance
The proposal submission deadline is May 24, 2024, at 2:00 P.M. A pre-proposal meeting and site visit will be conducted on May 9, 2024, at 1:00 P.M.

Place of Performance
The contract will be performed at Ausonia Apartments, located at 185 Fulton Street, Boston, MA 02109.
