RFP #174-24 Legacy Security Camera Phs. II

Background
The Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority (MBTA), a corporate and political subdivision of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, is issuing Request for Proposals (RFP) #174-24 for the replacement of Legacy Security Cameras. The goal of this contract is to enhance security through the installation of new video surveillance systems at specified locations, replacing obsolete equipment.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for the installation and completion of 36 analog video surveillance cameras and associated cabling at three locations:

- South Station Bus Terminal: 700 Atlantic Ave., Boston, MA 02110
- South Boston Switching Station: 696 East First St., South Boston, MA 02127
- 45 High Street, Boston, MA.

The scope includes:
- Removal of obsolete cameras, conduit, and cabling.
- Installation of new mounts and cabling for the new cameras.
- Installation of ancillary equipment necessary for complete camera functionality.

Period of Performance
The anticipated timeline for contract execution is estimated to begin on October 8, 2024, with a service start date projected for October 15, 2024.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed at three locations in Boston, Massachusetts: South Station Bus Terminal, South Boston Switching Station, and 45 High Street.
