Background
The Town of Boxborough, MA is soliciting proposals for Managed Information Technology services. This procurement is undertaken under the provisions of G.L. c. 30B, § 6. The Town does not have an Information Technology (I.T.) department; all I.T. services are outsourced to one vendor who functions as the Town’s I.T. department.
The selected vendor will provide advising services to help guide the Town in making all I.T. related plans, improvements, changes, operating procedures, equipment decisions, etc.
Work Details
The successful proposer will provide ongoing management, operation, upgrade, support and coordination of the Town’s I.T. Network which includes:
- Agentless monitoring and management of all endpoints
- Dedicated bandwidth for communication and reporting
- Windows Server Update Service (WSUS) for patch management
- Anti-virus protection with live monitoring
- Enterprise cloud-based antispam/antivirus solutions with daily reporting
- Regular on-site system backups
- Bi-weekly on-site support for troubleshooting and training
- A Help Desk System for streamlined support requests
- Proactive correction of critical I.T. environment problems
- Printer administration and configuration
- New workstation administration
- Installation of new equipment to the network
- Design and administration of network firewall hardware/software
- 24/7 network monitoring including availability and performance checks for critical systems.
Period of Performance
The contract will commence upon execution and is expected to continue until terminated or until funds are no longer appropriated.
Place of Performance
Services will be performed at various locations within the Town of Boxborough, MA.
Bidder Requirements
Proposers must demonstrate a minimum of five years of experience in providing similar I.T. services. All staff providing services must be directly employed by the vendor unless subcontracting is approved by the Town.
Proposers must submit a Certificate of Non-Collusion and a Tax Compliance Certificate with their proposals.
