Replacement of Kitchen Flooring

Background
The Suffolk County Sheriff’s Department (SCSD) is seeking bids for the replacement of kitchen flooring and installation of epoxy flooring at the House of Correction located at 20 Bradston Street, Boston, MA 02118.
The project aims to enhance the kitchen facilities within the correctional facility, ensuring compliance with safety and operational standards.
The contract will be governed by Massachusetts procurement laws, specifically c. 149.

Work Details
The scope of work includes:
1. Removal of existing ceramic tile flooring down to the substrate, with proper disposal of materials.
2. Installation of approximately 1,800 square feet of new epoxy flooring, including an 8-inch rise up the walls and appropriate sloping for drainage.
3. Adjustments to existing drains as necessary for proper drainage safety.
4. Provision of data sheets for the epoxy flooring and installation instructions.
5. A one-year standard warranty against product failure not due to fault of SCSD, including patching services for any defective areas within this period.

Period of Performance
The contract is expected to commence as soon as possible and conclude by December 6, 2024.
