QUALIFYING LIST FOR DESE/DDS PROGRAM

Background
The Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE) and the Department of Developmental Services (DDS) are issuing a Request for Response (RFR) to identify additional qualified providers for the DESE/DDS Community Residential Prevention Program. The program aims to provide support services to children and young adults with intellectual and closely related disabilities, allowing families to direct the use of funding from DESE. The program is subject to annual open enrollment in March, and upon acceptance, families receive an individual budget allocation to develop a plan of services.

Work Details
The DESE/DDS Program consists of three major service components: Family Navigation, Services and Supports, and Ancillary Goods and Services. These components encompass various services such as in-home activities, community participation, professional therapy services, and respite care. The program requires providers to meet specific qualifications for staff involved in delivering these services, including educational background, experience, and licensure.
Additionally, the RFR includes detailed information on the submission process, including requirements for organizational charts and service location checklists.

Period of Performance
The RFR was originally posted in 2018 with a response deadline on March 14th for a contract start date of July 1st. The RFR will remain available via COMMBUYS until June 30th for potential bidders to submit proposals.

Place of Performance
The services under the DESE/DDS Program will be performed at various locations across different regions including Central West, Northeast, Southeast, Metro, and others as indicated by the service provider checklist.
