QCC2201 - RFQ for Trade Contractors, IQ Center - Quinsigamond Community College, Worcester, MA

Background
The Commonwealth of Massachusetts, through its Division of Capital Asset Management & Maintenance (DCAMM), is issuing a Request for Qualifications (RFQ) for qualified and experienced Trade Contractors.

This project involves the complete renovation of an existing 50,000 sqft Athletic Center into an accessible Student Center that will feature active-learning classrooms, student life and success spaces, collaboration and study areas, wellness spaces, a cafe/nutrition lab, and multipurpose rooms.

The goal is to prequalify firms interested in providing public Trade Contractor services for this Public Construction Manager at Risk (CM at Risk) Project at Quinsigamond Community College in Worcester, MA.

Work Details
The RFQ seeks Trade Contractor Statement of Qualifications for the following thirteen categories of work:

- Masonry ($403,020)
- Miscellaneous & Ornamental Iron ($449,170)
- Waterproofing, Dampproofing & Caulking ($131,028)
- Roofing & Flashing ($1,347,920)
- Glass & Glazing ($631,163)
- Tile ($124,952)
- Acoustical Tile ($104,412)
- Resilient Floors ($170,972)
- Painting ($119,922)
- Fire Protection Sprinkler System ($432,199)
- Plumbing ($1,341,432)
- HVAC ($3,869,161)
- Electrical ($1,365,205).

Only prequalified firms will be allowed to submit bids for the categories in which they are prequalified. The Construction Manager for this project is Gilbane Building Company.

Period of Performance
The RFQ submissions are due by 12:00 PM on April 11, 2025. The timeline for the overall project performance involves a two-phase procurement process as outlined in MGL Chapter 149A.

Place of Performance
The contract work will be performed at Quinsigamond Community College located in Worcester, Massachusetts.
