Public Works Garage Roof Replacement

Background
The Town of Holbrook, Department of Public Works is seeking bids for the Public Works Garage Roof Replacement project. This project aims to replace the existing roofing system at the garage located at 50 North Franklin Street, Holbrook, MA. The Department's mission is to maintain and improve public infrastructure, ensuring safe and functional facilities for town operations.

Work Details
The work includes:
1) Removal of the existing roofing system;
2) Installation of a new fully adhered EPDM roofing system;
3) Installation of insulation, flashing, and all related components necessary for a watertight roof;
4) Mobilization on-site and installation of safety equipment to meet OSHA requirements;
5) Proper disposal of existing materials including EPDM roof membrane, insulation, and flashings down to the wood plank deck;
6) Installation of up to 500 square feet of ½” CDX mechanically fastened plywood decking at the perimeter;
7) Installation of a vapor barrier (6-mil clear polyethylene);
8) Installation of two layers of Polyisocyanurate insulation providing an R-value of 30;
9) Installation of a new EPDM membrane (60-mil minimum);
10) Installation of new metal flashings along the entire perimeter; and
11) Cleaning all areas affected by work.

All work must comply with federal, state, and local regulations. The contractor must provide written product warranties for a minimum term of 20 years for materials and 10 years for workmanship.

Period of Performance
The contract will commence within 14 calendar days after execution and must be completed within 30 calendar days after starting. The contractor is responsible for preventing water from entering the garage during this timeframe.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must submit a Non-Collusion Form and Statement of Taxes with their bid. They are required to provide proof of insurance coverage as specified in the contract documents. Additionally, bidders must have completed OSHA-approved safety training for all employees who will be working on-site.
