Background
The Auburn Water District, MA is seeking construction services for the PRV/Meter Facility and Kettle Brook Pipe Jacking project. The project involves the construction of an interconnection loop between the Auburn Water District's water supply system and the City of Worcester's water supply systems. The work includes the installation of a pressure reducing/metering facility, interior equipment within a prefabricated building, and pipe jacking beneath Kettle Brook and the Genesee & Wyoming Railroad.
Work Details
The work includes furnishing and installing interior equipment within an existing 12'x21' prefabricated building, such as a 6-inch pressure reducing valve, 6-inch magnetic flow meter, 6-inch ductile iron piping and appurtenances, instrumentation and electrical equipment, and associated site work.
Additionally, it involves pipe jacking of a 220-foot long 24-inch diameter steel casing beneath Kettle Brook and the Railroad and associated 12” ductile iron water main, valves, and fittings to complete the connection from Southbridge Street to Sword Street as shown on the contract drawings.
Period of Performance
Sealed bids for Contract No. 2023-1 - PRV/Meter Facility and Kettle Brook Pipe Jacking will be received by the Auburn Water District until Thursday, April 25th, 2024 at 2 P.M. The contract is being bid under the provisions of M.G.L. Chapter 30, Section 39M.
