Background
The Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority (MBTA) is seeking firms to provide Construction Management at Risk (CMAR) Services for the Ashmont and Mattapan Infrastructure Upgrades project in Boston, MA. This project aims to modernize the infrastructure to support increased service reliability and accessibility, particularly for Type 9 light rail vehicles.

The procurement process follows a two-phase approach as outlined in M.G.L. c. 149A, starting with a Request for Qualifications (RFQ) to shortlist qualified firms.

Work Details
The CM firm will be responsible for complete construction management services across all phases of the project under a guaranteed maximum price (GMP). Key services include:
- Design Services and Pre-Construction Services
- Construction Services

The project involves replacing existing traction power equipment, adding new equipment to meet increased power demands, and renovating the Ashmont Traction Power Substation.
