Background
The Town of Burlington, Massachusetts, is issuing a Request for Qualifications (RFQ) for the construction of a new Burlington Police Station. The project involves the demolition of the existing two-story police station and the construction of a new facility exceeding 39,000 square feet. The goal is to provide a modern police station that meets the operational needs of the Burlington Police Department.

- Features of the new facility will include:
- 3-bay sally port
- Detention areas including booking area, cells, and holding areas
- Administrative offices
- Communication equipment room
- Evidence storage and processing areas
- Locker rooms and fitness room
- A five-lane firing range
- Meeting rooms, storage areas, toilet rooms, and interview rooms.

Period of Performance
The estimated project duration is 600 consecutive calendar days from the start date following the notice to proceed.

Place of Performance
The contract will be performed at 45 Center Street, Burlington, MA 01803.

Bidder Requirements
General Contractors must submit a Statement of Qualifications (SOQ) that includes completed forms and supporting documentation as specified in the RFQ. They must also provide evidence of bonding capacity equal to or greater than 100% of the estimated construction cost ($32,901,865). Additionally, contractors must hold a currently valid Certificate of Eligibility issued by DCAMM.
