Background
The New Bedford Housing Authority (NBHA) is seeking a licensed and experienced contractor to provide labor, materials, and equipment for the abatement of asbestos in a residential unit located at 111 Harwich Street, Apartment Number 20 (AMP 90 – Harwich Manor), New Bedford, Massachusetts.
The goal of this contract is to ensure the safe removal of asbestos-containing materials from the property, which is crucial for the health and safety of its residents.

Work Details
The contractor will perform proper abatement and disposal of asbestos-containing materials in the form of 'popcorn' spray textured ceiling surfaces in all rooms of the apartment, including closets.
The specific areas include:
- Living Room (154 sq ft)
- Kitchen with hall to bathroom & bedroom (160 sq ft)
- Bedroom #1 (120 sq ft)
- Bedroom #2 (100 sq ft)
Totaling approximately 534 square feet.
After the abatement work is completed, all ceiling surfaces must be prepared by providing a smooth skim-coated surface and one full coat of primer.

Period of Performance
The work must be completed within twenty (20) working days after the date of Notice to Proceed.
