MUN-2026-1005 Library Street and Sewall Street Area Drainage Improvements

Background
The City of Revere, Massachusetts is issuing a contract for the construction of drainage improvements in the Library Street and Sewall Street area. The goal of this contract is to enhance the drainage system to improve water management in the specified area.

Work Details
The scope of work under this contract includes:

Base Bid:
- Installation of approximately 245 linear feet (lf) of 12-inch corrugated high density polyethylene (HDPE) drainage pipe;
- Installation of 1,120 lf of 12-inch HDPE catch basin laterals;
- Installation of 206 lf of 15-inch HDPE drainage pipe;
- Installation of 641 lf of 18-inch HDPE drainage pipe;
- Installation of 1,217 lf of 24-inch HDPE drainage pipe;
- Installation of 364 lf of 30-inch HDPE drainage pipe;
- Installation of 579 lf of 36-inch HDPE drainage pipe;
- Installation of 197 lf of 48-inch HDPE drainage pipe;
- Installation of two (2) 18-inch x 6-inch HDPE wyes;
- Installation of 25 lf of 6-inch HDPE sump pump lateral;
- Installation of 47 drain manholes;
- Installation of five (5) drop inlets;
- Installation of 51 catch basins;
- Relocation of 20 linear feet of 6-inch water mains;
- Relocation of 120 linear feet of 8-inch water main;
- Relocation of 15 sewer services;
- Abandonment of three (3) drain manholes;
- Abandonment of 2,393 linear feet of existing drain pipe; and
- Other related tasks in the City.

Alternate Bid No. 1 includes:
- Installation of approximately 60 lf of 12-inch HDPE drainage pipe;
- Installation of approximately 432 lf of 18-inch HDPE drainage pipe;
- Installation of three (3) drain manholes;
- Installation of three (3) catch basins;
- Abandonment of 240 linear feet of existing drain pipe; and
- Other related tasks.

Period of Performance
The work must be brought to substantial completion by November 15, 2026, exclusive of final paving, which must be completed by May 28, 2027.

Place of Performance
The contract will be performed in the City of Revere, Massachusetts.

Bidder Requirements
A Bid Security in the form required is a bid bond, cash, certified check, treasurer’s or cashier’s check payable to the Owner in the amount equal to five percent (5%) of the bid. The selected contractor must furnish a performance bond and a payment bond equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price. Bidders must comply with prevailing wage rates as determined by Massachusetts laws and ensure non-discrimination in employment as per Executive Order 11246. There is a goal for ten percent (10%) participation from Minority Business Enterprises.
