McFarlin Renovations Prequalification

Background
The Chelmsford Housing Authority is inviting contractors to submit a Statement of Qualifications for complete building renovations to the McFarlin Manor located at 10 Wilson Street in Chelmsford, MA.

The estimated construction cost for this project is $15,000,000. General Bidders must be DCAMM Certified in General Building Construction, while Filed Sub-Bidders must be DCAMM Certified as subcontractors in various trades including Masonry, Roofing, Plumbing, and Electrical.

Work Details
The project involves a complete interior renovation of a multi-story residential housing authority building.

Specific tasks include:
- Replacement of all interior finishes
- Replacement of domestic water supply piping
- Electrical wiring updates
- Installation of new windows and doors
- Replacement of the roof.

Additionally, the general contractor will coordinate with a separate HVAC contractor responsible for replacing all individual residential unit HVAC equipment.

Period of Performance
Prequalification Packages for General and Filed Sub-Bid Categories will be received until 3:00 PM on September 13, 2024.

The anticipated issuance of the RFP for Phase II is expected on October 2, 2024.
