Middlesex Community College (MCC) is seeking competitive proposals for snack and beverage vending services to provide nutritious, appetizing, and affordably priced options for students, faculty, staff, and visitors at both the Lowell and Bedford campuses. Established in 1970, MCC serves over 9,300 credit students and employs approximately 1,004 faculty/staff. Work Details
The selected contractor will provide snack and beverage vending services across MCC’s Lowell and Bedford campuses. The contractor must supply, deliver, install, and maintain heavy-duty commercial vending machines that are EnergyStar® qualified.
Machines must accept credit/debit cards, coins, and bills (ApplePay preferred), be ADA compliant, equipped with thermal overload protection, and have necessary safety devices. The contractor is responsible for cleaning and sanitation of the equipment. A preventative maintenance program must be established to ensure all equipment is in good working order.
The contractor will pay the college a commission based on gross sales from all vending machines installed on college property. Proposals must include initial product pricing for snacks and beverages offered.
Period of Performance
The anticipated contract period is from August 1, 2026 to June 30, 2029 with options for two one-year renewals.

Services will be performed at Middlesex Community College's Lowell Campus located at 33 Kearney Square, Lowell, MA 01852 and Bedford Campus located at 591 Springs Road, Bedford, MA 01730.
Bidder Requirements
Bidders must have a minimum of three years of successful experience in the vending industry. They must comply with Massachusetts Public Records Law and submit various forms including a Statement of Non-Collusion Certification and Tax Compliance. Background checks (C.O.R.I. and S.O.R.I.) are required for personnel assigned to work at the college.
