Background
The Education Cooperative (TEC) is seeking proposals from qualified vendors to provide comprehensive managed IT services to support its educational and administrative operations. The goal of this contract is to select the most advantageous proposal based on both price and non-price criteria, in accordance with Massachusetts General Laws Chapter 30B, Section 6.
Work Details
The selected vendor will provide full-service managed IT support, including but not limited to:
- Virtual help desk / 'Virtual Office' support (remote support)
- Technology ticketing and user support systems
- On-demand and proactive in-person support (minimum 3 days per week)
- 24/7 infrastructure monitoring and incident response
- Network infrastructure management
- Identity and access management (e.g., Microsoft, Active Directory, Google Workspace)
- Asset inventory and lifecycle management
- IT procurement support compliant with Massachusetts’ 30B public procurement laws
- IT project management
- Infrastructure installation and replacement planning
- Annual IT assessment aligned with CIS standards
- Analytics and reporting (help desk, network, asset tracking)
- Staff training (IT and cybersecurity)
- Grant assistance for IT-related funding
- State reporting support (SIMS, EPIMS)
- Application management.
Period of Performance
The contract will commence on July 1, 2026, and conclude on June 30, 2027. There is an option to renew for up to two additional one-year terms.
Place of Performance
The services will be performed at locations designated by The Education Cooperative in East Walpole, Massachusetts.
Bidder Requirements
Vendors must demonstrate experience providing managed IT services to educational Collaboratives or K–12 school districts or similar public sector organizations. They must also comply with Massachusetts 30B public procurement requirements. Additionally, vendors must submit a Certificate of Non-Collusion, Tax Compliance Certification (M.G.L. c. 62C §49A), Certificate of Authority, and W-9.
