ITC71 Diagnosis and Repair of Camera System at Taunton State Hospital

Background
The Taunton State Hospital, part of the Department of Mental Health (DMH), is seeking to engage a vendor for the diagnosis and repair of a camera system across its facilities. The hospital aims to ensure the functionality of its security systems, which includes both analog and digital cameras. This project is critical for maintaining safety and security within the hospital's premises.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for evaluating and repairing 24 non-functional cameras located in various buildings. The scope includes:
- Diagnosing each non-functioning camera and its corresponding cabling.
- Replacing cameras with a combination of 2MP and/or 5MP Hanwa camera systems or equivalent.
- Replacing cabling with compatible CAT6 cabling where necessary.
- Installing compatible encoders as needed.
- Ensuring all wall penetrations are sealed properly with 3-hour putty or caulking (no foam allowed).
- Testing and commissioning the system in collaboration with a DMH representative.
- Scheduling all service work in advance with the Facilities Manager, adhering to facility requirements including privacy regulations and tool control protocols.
- Providing all necessary tools, parts, and equipment for servicing items under this contract, as well as disposing of waste materials in compliance with applicable laws.

Period of Performance
The contract work is expected to commence after the bid deadline on February 27, 2026, with specific timelines to be determined during project planning.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed at Taunton State Hospital located at 60 Hodges Ave, Taunton, MA 02780.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must be OSHA certified. If labor costs exceed $25,000, a payment bond for 50% of the project value is required. All vendors must obtain necessary permits prior to starting work, which must be filed with the maintenance office. All wall penetrations must be inspected by a Maintenance Manager or Supervisor.
