IFB McGovern Elementary Bathroom Renovations

Background
The Medway Public Schools, referred to as the Owner or Awarding Authority, is seeking sealed bids for general bid work and filed sub-bid work for the Bathroom Renovations at McGovern Elementary School located at 9 Lovering Street, Medway, MA.

The project is being managed by Gale Associates, Inc., which has prepared the Bid Forms and Contract Documents.

Work Details
The scope of work includes renovations to the bathrooms at McGovern Elementary School. Specific tasks include:
- Selective demolition of existing structures as per Section 02 41 19.
- Masonry work as specified in Section 04 21 00.
- Installation of new floor tiling according to Section 09 30 00.
- Installation of acoustical panel ceilings as per Section 09 51 13.
- Painting of walls following specifications in Section 09 91 00.
- Plumbing work detailed in Section 22 00 00.
- HVAC installation as outlined in Section 23 00 00.
- Electrical work according to Section 26 00 00.

All work must comply with applicable state and local codes and regulations.

Period of Performance
The contract is expected to commence within ten days of receiving written notice to proceed from the Owner, with key milestones including:
- Preconstruction Meeting on April 22, 2026;
- Mobilization/Construction start on June 22, 2026;
- Substantial Completion by August 21, 2026;
- Final Completion by September 4, 2026.

The renovations will take place at McGovern Elementary School located at 9 Lovering Street, Medway, MA.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must be pre-qualified by the Massachusetts Division of Capital Asset Management and Maintenance (DCAMM) for relevant categories including General Building Construction and specific trades such as Masonry Work, Tiling, Acoustical Tile, Painting, Plumbing, and Electrical Work.

Bids must include a bid security deposit of at least five percent (5%) of the total bid amount and must be submitted electronically via www.Projectdog.com. Successful bidders are required to furnish a Performance Bond and Payment Bond each in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price.
