HVAC Services Match Charter School

Background
Match Charter Public School (Match) is a charter public school located in Boston, Massachusetts, serving approximately 1,250 students from grades K1 through 12. The school's mission is to prepare students for success in college and beyond. Match operates across three campuses: Match High School at 1001 Commonwealth Avenue, Brighton; Match Middle School at 215 Forest Hills Street, Jamaica Plain; and Match Community Day/Elementary School at 50/100/110 Poydras Street, Hyde Park. The school qualifies for the Community Eligibility Program due to having over 40% of its student population classified as economically disadvantaged.

Work Details
The contractor will provide comprehensive HVAC services across three campuses, including:

1. Preventative Maintenance:
- Quarterly maintenance visits and filter changes.
- Annual belt changes, boiler combustion testing, condenser coil cleaning, inspection/testing of safety devices (high-limit switches, freeze stats, pressure relief valves), water treatment testing for boilers and cooling towers.
- Cleaning and inspection of unit ventilators and fan coil units.
- Quarterly BAS trend review for performance optimization.

2. Systems and Controls:
- Diagnostics for digital/pneumatic control systems.
- Calibration of thermostats and sensors.

3. Mechanical Work:
- HVAC service including refrigeration, process piping, sheet metal work, custom air handlers.

4. Emergency Service:
- 24/7 emergency response with a one-hour call response time and technician arrival within four hours.

5. Commissioning and Reporting:
- Updating system documentation and providing electronic service reports post-inspection.

Period of Performance
The contract will commence on July 1, 2026, and will last for one year until June 30, 2027, with options for annual extensions up to four additional years.

Place of Performance
Services will be performed at the following locations:
- Match Community Day / Elementary School: 50/100/110 Poydras Street, Hyde Park, MA
- Match Middle School: 215 Forest Hills Street, Jamaica Plain, MA
- Match High School: 1001 Commonwealth Avenue, Boston, MA

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must have a minimum of three years of experience in HVAC maintenance services. They must provide proof of Comprehensive General Liability insurance coverage of at least $1 million and Workers Compensation insurance as required by law. All contractor staff must complete CORI background checks before working on-site. Bidders are encouraged to include WBE/MBE certifications if applicable.
