Hatherly Elementary School Project General and Trade Contractor Invitation to BID

Background
The Town of Scituate is issuing an Invitation to Bid for the Hatherly Elementary School Project. This project involves the construction of a new grade K-5 school building with an integral Pre-K program. It also includes the demolition of the existing 41,000 square foot Hatherly School building and associated site work, parking, and fields to support the new school. Additionally, it encompasses demolition and remedial site work at the Cushing School site, including hazardous material abatement.

Work Details
The project consists of:
- Construction of a new grade K-5 school building with integral Pre-K.
- Demolition of the existing 41,000 square foot Hatherly School building.
- Associated site work, including parking and fields to support the new school building.
- Demolition and remedial site work at the Cushing School site located at One Aberdeen Drive, Scituate, MA 02066. This includes hazardous material abatement and demolition of the existing 41,000 square foot Cushing School building along with selected site appurtenances.

The total project area is approximately 106,084 square feet.

Period of Performance
The contract period will begin upon award and is expected to continue through the completion of construction and site remediation activities as outlined in the bid documents.

Place of Performance
The contract will be performed at two locations: Hatherly Elementary School and Cushing School sites in Scituate, Massachusetts.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must be prequalified in specific categories to submit bids for this project. Categories include General Contractor and various subcontractor categories such as Masonry, Miscellaneous Metals, Woodwork & Carpentry (WD&C), Roofing & Flashing, Metal Windows, Glass & Glazing, Tile, Acoustical Ceiling Tile (ACT), Resilient Flooring, Painting, Fire Protection, Plumbing, HVAC, and Electrical. Contractors do not need prequalification for Elevator work as it is open bidding. A DCAMM Certificate is required for qualification.
