Background
The Metropolitan Area Planning Council (MAPC) is seeking proposals from qualified providers of aftermarket equipment to supply and service the members of the Greater Boston Police Council (GBPC). This council operates the Boston Area Police Emergency Radio Network (BAPERN). The goal of this contract is to enhance the operational capabilities of GBPC members through the provision of necessary aftermarket equipment.
Work Details
The contract involves supplying and installing a wide range of aftermarket equipment, including but not limited to: service body chassis, top opening compartments, electric locks, raised fronts, bottle gas retainers, e-track systems, work lights, interior lights, drawer systems, hydraulic towers, refuse bodies, air compressors, EV chargers, and various other specialized equipment.
A comprehensive list of items is provided in Section 12 of the RFP. Proposers are encouraged to notify MAPC if any items are omitted or require clarification.
Period of Performance
The contract will commence upon execution and is set to run until April 30th, 2026. There is a possibility of five six-month extensions.
Place of Performance
The performance location for this contract will primarily be within the jurisdictions served by the Greater Boston Police Council members.
Bidder Requirements
Proposers must comply with all applicable regulations and provide a full listing of manufacturer product lines they offer. They should also be prepared to submit technical proposals that include quality control measures and warranty information.
