Fy26 On Call Hvac & Refrigeration (ICE RINK) Maintenance & Repair Services For Hycc

Background
The Town of Barnstable, through its Department of Public Works, is seeking bids for on-call HVAC and refrigeration maintenance and repair services specifically for the Hyannis Youth and Community Center (HYCC). This contract aims to ensure the proper functioning of industrial HVAC systems and ammonia-based refrigeration systems at the facility, which is critical for maintaining operational standards.

The contract is set to begin on August 1, 2025, and run through June 30, 2026, with options for two additional one-year extensions.

Work Details
The contractor will provide on-call maintenance and repair services for industrial HVAC and refrigeration systems at HYCC. Services include:
- Emergency response within one hour for urgent issues (e.g., ammonia-related problems).
- Standard call-out response within 24 hours.
- Hourly rates must be provided for various technician categories including Refrigeration Technicians, HVAC Technicians, and Electrical Technicians.

The contractor must supply all necessary labor, tools, equipment, and materials unless otherwise specified. The contractor's service vehicle should be stocked with standard replacement parts. All work must comply with Massachusetts General Laws Chapter 149 regarding prevailing wage requirements.

Period of Performance
The contract period is from August 1, 2025, to June 30, 2026, with two optional one-year extensions subject to funding availability.

Place of Performance
Services will be performed at the Hyannis Youth and Community Center located at 141 Bassett Lane, Hyannis, MA.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must demonstrate a minimum of five years of relevant experience in municipal Industrial HVAC and Ice Rink Refrigeration systems. They must also provide references for similar projects. Bidders are required to have OSHA 10 certification and comply with Massachusetts prevailing wage laws. Additionally, contractors must possess all necessary licenses/registrations to perform services in Massachusetts.
