Fy26 Janitorial Services For Bismore Comfort Station Facility

Background
The Town of Barnstable's Planning and Development Department is soliciting bids for janitorial services for the Bismore Comfort Station facility, located at 180 Ocean Street, Hyannis, MA. This contract aims to ensure cleanliness and maintenance of public restrooms, aligning with the Town's commitment to providing quality services to its residents and visitors.

Work Details
The contractor will provide comprehensive housekeeping/janitorial services including:

- Cleaning and disinfecting all bathroom mirrors, fixtures, toilets, urinals, sinks, cabinets, walls, partitions, shelves, personal products containers, soap dispensers, toilet paper dispensers, paper towel dispensers, trash containers, and changing stations.

Services are required daily at three scheduled times: 11 AM, 4 PM, and after 8 PM. The contractor must also refill soap dispensers and toilet paper as needed. Additionally:

- Empty trash receptacles daily or as necessary throughout the day.
- Mop and disinfect floors daily or more often if needed.
- Pick up litter around the dumpster area before the end of each shift.
- Comply with security procedures while on site.
- Ensure that all personnel are trained in handling infectious materials.

Environmentally friendly cleaning supplies will be provided by the Town.

Period of Performance
The contract term is set for one year from April 20, 2026 to October 31, 2026 with options for two additional one-year extensions at the Town's discretion.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must have a minimum of two years of satisfactory performance under at least six different contracts in similar size and scope. All employees assigned must be bonded and undergo background checks due to their proximity to public restroom users. The contractor must provide proof of insurance coverage including general liability and workers' compensation as specified in the solicitation.
