FY26 HYCC MAU1 & DH1 REPLACEMENT - Filed Sub Bid Electrical

Background
The Town of Barnstable is issuing this solicitation for the renovation of the Hyannis Youth and Community Center, located at 141 Bassett Lane, Hyannis, MA 02601. The project aims to replace the MAU1 and DH1 systems as part of an overall effort to improve the facility's mechanical systems. The renovation will ensure that the center continues to serve its community effectively while meeting modern standards.

Work Details
The scope of work includes all labor, materials, equipment, and services required to perform the work described in the Drawings and Specifications. Major components of the work include:

1. Construction of renovation including:
a. Steel framing.
b. Concrete work.
c. Carpentry and caulking.
d. Roofing.
e. Mechanical and electrical installations.
f. Sitework including site clearing, earth moving, asphalt paving, fencing, and landscaping.

2. Installation of new makeup air and dehumidification systems serving the Hyannis Youth and Community Center with modifications to render the existing system as a backup.

3. New concrete footings and steel dunnage supports for HVAC units located outside the building footprint.

Period of Performance
The contract is expected to commence upon award and is scheduled for completion by July 31, 2025.

The contract will be performed at the Hyannis Youth and Community Center located at 141 Bassett Lane, Hyannis, MA 02601.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must be currently certified by the Division of Capital Asset Management and Maintenance (DCAMM) for General Building Construction. The Contractor must submit a Schedule of Values within 10 days of receipt of notice to proceed and provide proof of compliance with OSHA safety regulations including a minimum 10-hour safety course for all on-site employees.
