FY25 Student Transportation

Background
Boston Preparatory Charter Public School (BOSTON PREP) is located at 885 River Street, Hyde Park, MA 02136. The school serves approximately 700 students in grades 6-12 and is part of the Commonwealth Public Charter Schools. The goal of this contract is to procure transportation services for eligible students, ensuring safe and reliable transport to and from school.

Work Details
The contractor will provide morning and afternoon transportation services for approximately 90 to 125 students using 3-4 full-sized school buses, drivers, and monitors. Transportation must ensure students arrive by 7:15 AM Monday-Friday and pick up at 3:15 PM on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday, and at 1:15 PM on Wednesday.

The vendor will also provide routing services including designing bus routes, assigning riders, and optimizing routes. Optional pricing for field trips and athletic events can be included but will not be evaluated in the proposal. All buses must comply with Massachusetts state standards and have at least one camera onboard that can record video.

Period of Performance
The initial contract period will be twelve (12) months with the option to extend for up to four (4) additional twelve-month periods, totaling a maximum of sixty (60) months.

Place of Performance
The services will be performed at Boston Preparatory Charter Public School located at 885 River Street, Hyde Park, MA.

Bidder Requirements
Vendors must have at least three years of contracted school student transportation experience and be financially solvent without bankruptcy proceedings or material lawsuits pending. They must provide proof of insurance of at least two million dollars for commercial auto liability and general liability.

Vendors must not be debarred at any level and must comply with all applicable laws in Massachusetts. They are required to provide five references from school clients.
