FY25 Land Surveys - Southeast District

Background
The Massachusetts Division of Fisheries and Wildlife (MassWildlife) is seeking licensed surveyors to assist with land surveys in the Southeast District, specifically for properties located in Plymouth and Taunton.

The goal of this contract is to perform detailed surveys as part of the land acquisition process, ensuring compliance with EEA Land Acquisition Policy specifications.

Work Details
Survey services will include:
1. Conducting a survey of Halfway Pond WMA located on West Long Pond Road, Plymouth, MA, covering approximately 880 feet with 8 iron pins to be installed.
2. Conducting a survey of Puddingstone WMA located on Glebe Street, Taunton, MA, covering approximately 839 feet with 3 iron pins to be installed.

The surveyor must locate all course changes and install iron pins as indicated on the attached detail maps. A plan suitable for recording with the registry of deeds must be prepared showing the area surveyed, location of monuments recovered, and newly set boundary markers. This includes providing a mylar copy of the plan, two paper copies, and a digital submission (preferably in CADD format).

Additionally, any encroachments from neighboring properties, roads or trails intersecting surveyed lines, streams or rivers intersecting surveyed lines, stone walls within 10 feet of surveyed lines, and utility poles adjacent to the surveyed parcel must be documented. The surveyor is responsible for recording the completed survey with the appropriate registry referencing Order of Taking Book and Page.

Period of Performance
All services must be completed by June 15, 2025.

Final invoicing should be submitted within 30 days after service completion but no later than July 31, 2025.

Place of Performance
Surveys will be conducted at Halfway Pond WMA on West Long Pond Road in Plymouth, MA and Puddingstone WMA on Glebe Street in Taunton, MA.
