FSR Window Replacement

Background
The Barnstable County Sheriff’s Office (BCSO) is seeking bids for the procurement and/or installation of energy-efficient windows at the Former Sheriff’s Residence located at 3195 Main Street, Barnstable, MA.
The goal of this contract is to enhance the energy efficiency of the residence while ensuring compliance with state regulations regarding hazardous materials.

Work Details
The successful bidder will be responsible for:
- Procurement and installation of Anderson 400 Series full frame/new construction double hung windows, including specific features such as double pane, tilt-wash, low-E4 insulated glass, pre-finished white interior and exterior, standard lock hardware in white, colonial style grid configuration, and insect screens.
- Removal of existing exterior and interior window casing and trim, with new casing made from Azek brand PVC material for exterior and pre-primed softwood board for interior.
- Installation of specialty windows including Anderson 100 Series Gliding Windows for basement and Anderson 400 Series specialty windows for attic and front door half round windows.
- Compliance with building codes and industry standards during installation.
- Removal and disposal of lead paint and asbestos found in existing materials, ensuring adherence to state and federal regulations.
- Provision of a time and materials quote for potential change orders due to unforeseen conditions such as wood rot.

Period of Performance
The contract performance period is expected to commence upon award and extend through the completion of the project.
A bid submission deadline is set for March 19, 2025.

The work will be performed at the Former Sheriff’s Residence located at 3195 Main Street, Barnstable, MA.
