FMO26073 Quincy Armory Roof Repair

Background
The Commonwealth of Massachusetts, through the Executive Office of Public Safety & Security and the Military Division, is seeking a contractor for the Quincy Armory Roof Repairs project. The goal of this contract is to facilitate necessary repairs to the roof of the Massachusetts Army National Guard facility located at 994 Hancock Street, Quincy, MA 02169. This project aims to ensure the structural integrity and longevity of the armory's roofing system.

Work Details
The contractor will provide all necessary labor, materials, equipment, and supervision for a complete sloped roof repair/replacement at the Quincy Armory. The scope of work includes:

- Removal of existing roofing materials;
- Inspection and repair/replacement of underlying decking and structural components;
- Installation of a high-quality underlayment system;
- Installation of new roofing materials including 25-year architectural shingles (color to be chosen by the Point of Contact);
- Installation of vents, ridge caps, flashing, gutters, and downspouts.

The roof area is approximately 9,200 sqft (to be verified by the contractor). Damaged structural members and sheathing must be replaced with new materials. A final inspection will be conducted to ensure compliance with applicable standards.

Period of Performance
The estimated contract start date is September 30, 2025. The duration for completion should align with typical construction timelines for such projects.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed at the Massachusetts Army National Guard facility located at 994 Hancock Street, Quincy, MA 02169.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must maintain an active registration in COMMBUYS and comply with all requirements for Small Business Purchasing Program (SBPP) eligibility if applicable. A Payment Bond in the amount of 50% of the project value is required if it exceeds $25,000; Performance and Payment Bonds in the amount of 100% are required for projects exceeding $125,000. A certificate of liability insurance naming the MA National Guard as additionally insured must be provided prior to project commencement.
