FAC 131 - Rental of Mini Excavator with Blade and Hydraulic Thumb

Background
The Department of Conservation and Recreation (DCR) is seeking a vendor to provide rental services for a mini excavator. The goal of this contract is to procure a KUBOTA 040-4 mini excavator with specific attachments for use in June 2026, with potential extensions into July and August if needed. This procurement aligns with DCR's mission to manage and protect the Commonwealth's natural resources.

Work Details
The selected vendor will be responsible for providing rental of one KUBOTA 040-4 mini excavator equipped with an 18” bucket, grading blade, and hydraulic thumb attachment. The rental period is set for the month of June 2026, with an option for monthly extensions through July and August 2026. The equipment must be delivered to 841 Lowell Street, Carlisle, MA 01741 on June 1, 2026. Additionally, the vendor must coordinate with DCR staff regarding delivery and pick-up of the rental equipment.

Period of Performance
The contract will be performed during June 2026, with optional extensions available for July and August 2026.

Place of Performance
The rental equipment will be delivered to and picked up from 841 Lowell Street, Carlisle, MA 01741.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must complete and return the attached Bid Response Form. All deliverables related to goods and services contracts must meet accessibility standards as set forth by Executive Order 614 and the Americans with Disabilities Act Title II (ADA Title II). Vendors must ensure that all rental items can be delivered on June 1, 2026.
