Dunstable Public Library Window Trim, Soffit, Fascia, and Gutter Replacement

Background
The Town of Dunstable is soliciting bids for the replacement of window trim, soffit, fascia, and gutters at the Dunstable Public Library located at 588 Main St., Dunstable, MA 01827.
This project aims to improve the structural integrity and aesthetic appearance of the library while ensuring compliance with Massachusetts General Laws regarding public construction.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for the following tasks:

1. **Exterior Window Casings (6 locations)**:
- Remove and dispose of selected window trim and caulking.
- Inspect window trims for any rot and replace any rotted wood.
- Install new wood trims according to manufacturer's specifications with approved fasteners.
- Paint new window trim to match existing conditions.

2. **Roof Eaves and Rakes**:
- Remove existing gutters, downspouts, fascia boards, soffit panels, and damaged metal drip edges.
- Inspect blockings behind soffit and fascias for rot and replace as needed.
- Install new PVC fascias, fiber cement soffits, metal drip edges, gutters, downspouts, and additional accessories as required.

3. **Doors (1 exterior door)**:
- Remove existing exterior storage door and dispose of it along with hardware.
- Inspect door rough openings for rot and repair or replace as necessary.
- Install a new door per manufacturer specifications with approved fasteners and paint to match existing.

4. **Gutter (1 location)**:
- Remove existing gutter and downspout; install new gutter and downspout according to manufacturer specifications with approved fasteners; paint to match existing.

All work must comply with state building codes and local requirements.

Period of Performance
The contract will commence no later than April 22, 2025, with an expected completion date of June 10, 2025.
The overall contract period will end on June 13, 2025.

All work will be performed at the Dunstable Public Library located at 588 Main St., Dunstable, MA 01827.
