Drainage Repair & Replacement Services

Background
The Town of Auburn is seeking bids for the repair and/or replacement of stormwater drainage systems as part of its public works initiative. The project aims to enhance the town's drainage infrastructure, ensuring effective management of stormwater and reducing potential flooding issues. The work will be conducted in various locations throughout Auburn, MA.

Work Details
The scope of work includes:
- Installation of drainage pipes and structures, including:
- 265 feet of 24” HDPE drain pipe, manholes, catch basins, and headwall on Meadowbrook Road (South)
- 900 feet of HDPE drain pipe (size varies) and catch basins on Meadowbrook Road (North)
- 320 feet of 12” HDPE drain pipe and manholes on Prospect Street
- 25 feet of 18” HDPE drain pipe and catch basins on Chestnut Avenue
- Removal of existing drainage pipes and structures.
- Erosion controls, paving, grading, and site restoration as necessary to complete the project.

Period of Performance
The contract work must be substantially completed by October 31, 2025.

Place of Performance
The work will take place at various locations in Auburn, MA including Meadowbrook Road (South & North), Prospect Street, and Chestnut Avenue.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must demonstrate previous experience in similar work. All employees on-site must have completed OSHA 10-hour training. A bid security in the form of a certified check or bond equal to at least 5% of the total bid amount is required. Bidders must also be pre-qualified by the Massachusetts Department of Transportation prior to receiving contract documents.
