Disposal of Solid Waste & Recycling

Background
The Town of Acushnet, Massachusetts, is seeking sealed bids for the disposal of municipal solid waste and recyclables. The goal of this contract is to ensure the proper disposal of waste generated by municipal buildings while adhering to Massachusetts' solid waste regulations.

The contract will involve providing all necessary equipment, labor, and materials for the disposal process.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for:
1. Disposal of Municipal Solid Waste and Bulk Items (approx. 3,500 tons).
2. Disposal of Recyclables (approx. 1,000 tons).
3. Recycling of Construction & Demolition Debris (approx. 75 tons).

The contractor must furnish all equipment, labor, and materials necessary to dispose of the material at a licensed disposal site or permitted processing facility within 90 miles of Acushnet. Payment will be based on the tonnage disposed of, with no minimum tonnage guaranteed. Proof of proper disposal location and certification delivery must be provided to the Town.

Period of Performance
The contract will be held firm for five (5) calendar years from the award date, with an option for one (1) additional year at the Town's discretion.

Place of Performance
The services will be performed within a 90-mile radius of the Town of Acushnet, Massachusetts.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must submit a sealed bid including completed forms such as Unit Price Bid Sheet, Statement of Tax Compliance, Certificate of Non-Collusion, Certificate of Vote, Contractor Certification, OSHA Compliance documentation, and references from three successfully completed municipal projects.
