Background
The Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection (MassDEP) is seeking to contract with Quality Systems International Corporation (QSIC) to continue the use of their proprietary Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) software, WinLIMS. This software has been utilized by MassDEP since 2016 and supports the operations of the Division of Environmental Laboratory Sciences (DELS) at the Massachusetts State Environmental Laboratory located in Lawrence, Massachusetts. DELS is responsible for providing technical and laboratory support across all MassDEP bureaus, programs, and regions, analyzing various environmental samples to support resource protection and waste management initiatives.
Work Details
The contract will facilitate the continued use of WinLIMS, a cloud-hosted and vendor-configured software platform vital for managing custody, workflow, analyses, and reporting of scientific data related to environmental samples. The software enables DELS-WES staff to deliver test results electronically to multiple MassDEP bureaus and other state and federal agencies. The contract with QSIC is intended for a duration of up to five years.
Period of Performance
The contract will be performed over a period of up to five years.

The services will be performed at the Massachusetts State Environmental Laboratory located at the Senator William X. Wall Experiment Station in Lawrence, Massachusetts.
