DCR Stewardship Corps Lowell Lawrence Fall 2025

Background
The Department of Conservation and Recreation (DCR) is seeking proposals for program management support services to provide free, safe youth-based programs for at-risk teens and young adults in the Lowell-Lawrence area.

The DCR Stewardship Corps aims to promote urban youth development, build community, and foster healthy lifestyles while providing career opportunities in conservation and recreation fields.

Work Details
The selected vendor will be responsible for:
1. Providing transportation services, supervision, and meals for participants.
2. Selecting students for the program through promotion by approved youth organizations.
3. Creating high-quality, age-appropriate in-person programs for urban youths aged 13-17, with an option for one previous participant to serve as a paid Mentor Stewardship Corps assistant.
4. Conducting sessions between September and November 2025, with a minimum of two hours of programming after school from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM, including at least two weekend field trips from 11:00 AM to 2:30 PM. Daytime programming may also occur on non-school weekdays.

Period of Performance
The contract will commence on September 18, 2025, and is anticipated to be completed by November 27, 2025.

Place of Performance
The services will be performed in the Lowell-Lawrence area of Massachusetts.
